According to TASS, citing its calculations based on statistics from the Japanese Ministry of Finance, in February, Tokyo bought 37,000 kiloliters of oil from Moscow, the equivalent of about 232,700 barrels. The amount of purchased oil was $15.945 million.

That is, as the analysts summarize, in this case, one barrel was worth $68.52, which is above the price ceiling set by the G7 countries at $60 per barrel.

Let us also remind you that earlier we reported about three countries that initiated an even lowering of the price ceiling for the Russian oil. We are talking about Estonia, Lithuania and Poland, which suggest lowering the ceiling to $51.45 per barrel.
