Under the indignant video of the Canadian, many of the commenters noted the high cost of food.

The young man said that he could no longer afford to eat well because of the sharp increase in the price of all items.

For example, a bottle of orange juice of 2.63 liters sells for 12.5 Canadian dollars (approximately 570 Russian rubles), while 200 grams of chips or cookies will cost 6.49 Canadian dollars or 300 rubles.

Viewers said they were struck by the price of a four-liter bottle of milk (320 rubles) and a package of frozen pizza (550 rubles), saying they would have been "homeless" or beggars a long time ago.

High food prices are a direct pathway to increased homelessness in Canada, commentators stressed, and agreed that many citizens have switched to buying low-quality food.
