The head of Sberbank announced the transfer of half of its employees to remote work. The relevant decision was made by Alexander Gref, the bank's chairman of the board, amid an increase in the number of diseases due to a new omicron strain .

"Starting Monday, we are sending 50% to remote work and transfer all meetings to a virtual mode," Gref told the media on the sidelines of the Gaidar Forum, quoted by TASS.

Let us remind that shortly before that Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin instructed the members of the Coordinating Council for the fight against COVID-19 to elaborate and present a plan of new measures to prevent the spread of the infection. In particular, we are talking about combating the new COVID-19 strain "omicron". Russian President Vladimir Putin also stated that Russia has "a couple of weeks" to prepare for the new wave.
