It is noted that the amounts coming into the budget from the oil and gas industry, as well as from fees on imports decreased.
According to the Ministry of Finance, for a total of two months - July and August - the country's budget revenues fell by 36%. In July the decline was 26%, and in August - 11%.
Thus, income from the oil and gas industry in August has replenished the Russian budget by nearly 672 billion rubles, compared with 3.4% more in August 2021. Experts attribute the decrease in revenues from the oil and gas sector to the inflow of tax revenues for extra income from production.
Budget revenues, which are not related to the oil and gas sector, decreased by 14% in August compared to the same period last year. In total, they amounted to 1.157 trillion rubles.
Thus, VAT collections on imports fell by 26%, which indicates a decrease in imported goods imported into Russia against the backdrop of anti-Russian sanctions.
