Tatyana Suvorova, associate professor of the marketing department of Synergy University, said that in September, prices for 95-th gasoline at Moscow gas stations may rise from 62 rubles to 70 rubles per liter.
The expert noted that every year one of the reasons for the rise in gasoline prices is the summer vacation season, when dacha owners harvest crops and travel to their dachas more often. However, this year other factors related to the current geopolitical situation have been added to it.
She added in a conversation with Gazeta.Ru that among them are the permission to export gasoline in Russia after the ban, problems with railway transport and fuel transportation, as well as the reduction of oil output. Unfortunately, we should not expect a tangible reduction in the cost of gasoline this year. Fuel prices will rise, and this is confirmed by long-standing practice and statistics.
Suvorova also emphasized that it is necessary to take into account the difference in gasoline prices in different regions. For example, in the Moscow region you can fill up your car 20-30 kopecks cheaper than in Moscow, if you go 100 kilometers away from the capital. Approximately the same gasoline prices were two months ago in Voronezh, and in St. Petersburg fuel was 30-40 kopecks more expensive than in Moscow.
The expert recommends that drivers refuel using loyalty cards to save money.
