Professor of the Department and Prices of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Yulia Finogenova reported how much pensions will grow in the coming year.
From January 1, 2022, insurance pensions will be indexed by 5.9%, and from April 1, the authorities will index social pensions and state support payments by 7.7% in accordance with the pensioner's living wage growth index, Finogenova noted.
In addition, from February 1 next year, monthly cash payments will also be indexed by 5.8%.
As a result, taking into account the increase, the average annual pension payments to retirees will amount to 18,521 rubles, and the social one - 10,307 rubles, the economist said.
In an interview with the Prime agency, she stressed that the size of the indexation of pensions will be higher than the estimated 4.3% in 2020. The reason for this was the higher levels of the living wage of the Russian pensioner.
According to the expert, from 2022, women born in 1976 will begin to receive funded pension payments. On average, the amount of such payments will be 2.6 thousand rubles. Their amount will depend on the amount of contributions allocated to the funded part of the pension, as well as on the investment income received.
