The opening of representative offices of Russian banks in the republic will contribute to the strengthening of integration economic relations between the two states, as well as «the use of financial instruments in national currencies».
Kyrgyzstan invites major Russian banks to open their branches on the territory of the republic. This proposal was announced in Krasnoyarsk at the meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on cooperation by its co-chairman, the head of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers Aklybek Zhaparov.
He stressed the importance of the presence of the largest state banks of Russia: Sberbank, VTB, Vnesheconombank, in the financial market of Kyrgyzstan against the background of the parties' desire to modernize this sphere, to increase the share of settlements in national currencies. And in this regard, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan proposed to open branches of these banks in the republic.
Zhaparov noted that the opening of representative offices of Russian banks in his country can "significantly affect the integration economic relations" between the two states, will promote "the use of financial instruments in national currencies".
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers said that Kyrgyz banks are ready for such cooperation and plan to develop relevant digital services on the territory of the republic, TASS reported.
Acting Iranian President Mohammad Mokhber put forward an initiative to introduce a single currency based on breakthrough technologies for the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
