The French government is forming a list of companies that will receive gas as a priority. It is a question, as the Minister of Economy, Finance, Industrial and Digital Sovereignty Bruno Le Maire said, of the situation if Russia stops supplying.
Le Maire explained that the French authorities now face the task of preparing load reduction plans, and a lot of attention is being paid to this.
"This means a very careful study of every company, every area of employment, which companies have to reduce their energy consumption and which cannot do so," Politico newspaper quoted Le Maire as saying.
The minister, who is convinced that the Russian side will stop supplying gas, noted that one of the legal entities that needs to continue supplying gas is Saint-Gobain, a major manufacturer of building materials.
