Russian companies sent an appeal to the French Renault, which indicated a requirement to pay compensation of 8.5 billion rubles for losses incurred as a result of the brand leaving the Russian market.
As market representatives informed, this is already the second attempt to reach an agreement on covering losses in a pre-trial order. This means that if an agreement is not reached, the dealers plan to go to the Russian court.
The specified amount of 8.5 billion rubles covers the cost of buying or renting premises for dealer centers, repairs carried out to Renault standards, as well as purchases, staff training, and loans received for the development of the Renault dealer network. The amount also takes into account lost profits.
However, other companies may receive similar claims for compensation.
