The price of rolls and sushi will rise due to a significant increase in the price of products. The problems that have arisen with the supply of fish, chicken, as well as squid and rice also play their role.
According to Kommersant, citing market representatives, the problems in question have arisen against the backdrop of Western anti-Russian sanctions and growing demand for products from Russian suppliers. At the moment, as the publication notes, local products have already gone up in price.
Commenting on the situation, the ombudsman of the restaurant market in Moscow, Sergei Mironov, said that the rise in prices for final products will briefly push away the audience, as Russian producers have decided not to dumping and also increased the prices of their goods, which is due to the rise in the dollar and the prices of foreign products.
In addition, to date, sushi restaurants have reported problems with their dependence on imported fish, including salmon.
By the way, as the publication notes, fish producers are similarly preparing for a new price increase.
As for Russian wild fish, although it represents an alternative, this option is problematic because most wild salmon is exported to Asia.
