Russia and Belarus signed a protocol on the cost of gas for 2022. The signing was attended by the Minister of Energy of Belarus Viktor Karankevich and the head of the Russian Ministry of Energy Nikolai Shulginov.
Russia and Belarus have agreed on a price formation procedure for natural gas supplies to Minsk until December 31, 2022. A specific price level will be formed and fixed in a joint document with Gazprom, which will be compiled on the basis of the conditions of 2021.
The Russian government ordered to sign this document back in early November 2021. The order was approved and signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
November 4, a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Russia and Belarus was held. During the meeting, which was held via videoconference, the parties signed all 28 union programs.
