The head of the European Central Bank (ECB) Christine Lagarde made a statement that the economic models applied in the countries of Europe have proved to be poorly adapted to global crises.
According to Lagarde, it is, in particular, about the covid pandemic, the situation related to Ukraine, as well as accelerating inflation and the energy crisis in Europe.
"The world has been in a permanent crisis for several years. Our models have not been perfectly adapted to the nature of these crises," the ECB website quoted her as saying.
In addition, as Lagarde noted, EU central banks have not fully taken into account global crises in the process of making their forecasts.
"We are working hard to improve the accuracy of these forecasts," - concluded the head of the ECB.
Recall also that earlier Bloomberg reported that between the European Commission and the ECB began to arise disputes over the use of frozen Russian assets.
