Logistics operator SDEK increased the number of shipments by 14% in January-June 2024 compared to the same period last year. A total of 56.5 million parcels were sent.
Every sixth of them is between individuals. The capital accounted for more than a third of shipments - 39%.
The top 5 sending cities are St. Petersburg (2%), Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk - they have 2% each, the company's press service reported.
Express delivery from online stores of goods weighing more than 30 kg accounted for more than half of the parcels (55%).
The share of international delivery from marketplaces to individuals is equal to 6% of the total number of shipments. In this category, the number of orders increased by 31%.
Over 1.3 million orders were sent from abroad in Russia in the first half of this year, and 784 thousand parcels were sent from Russia to abroad.
SDEK is an international express delivery operator. The company was founded in 2000, there are offices in 36 countries. SDEK has more than 5 thousand points of order delivery. In 2023, the turnover of the service amounted to 70.6 billion rubles.
