CIS leaders sign agreement on free trade in services

Heads of governments of CIS countries signed an agreement on free trade in services in Sochi.

Prime ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States signed in Sochi an agreement on free trade in services, establishment, activities and investments.

The decision was made following a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government at Sirius in Sochi on Thursday, June 8.

Press service of the Russian Cabinet explains that the adoption of this document will help to increase trade turnover, attract financial resources and improve the well-being of the CIS citizens.

Politicians approved the Concept of industrial cooperation development as well as the set of measures for the next seven years. The prime ministers also signed an agreement on cooperation in the exchange of radiation monitoring data and on cooperation in documenting persons subject to expulsion with return certificates.

The CIS leaders adopted a memorandum on cooperation in combating fraud on telecommunications networks and approved an action plan for the next seven years on the management of waste electronic and electrical equipment.
