The Bank of Russia raises the threshold for the amount of transfers abroad for individuals - residents of the Russian Federation and non-residents from the friendly countries from 50 thousand to 150 thousand dollars per month from June 8.
"Since June 8, Russian residents - individuals have the right to transfer no more than 150 thousand dollars or the equivalent in other foreign currency from their account in a Russian bank to their account abroad or to another person within a calendar month," the Central Bank said.
The same amount can be transferred to foreign accounts by non-residents of Russia - individuals from friendly countries, the regulator said.
Previously, the limit was 50 thousand dollars.
However, through companies that provide services to transfer funds without opening an account, these citizens may within 30 days to transfer no more than 10 thousand dollars. Previously, this way only five thousand dollars per month could be transferred.
All non-residents of the Russian Federation still have the opportunity to transfer money received in the form of wages abroad.
Amounts of transfers are calculated on the official exchange rate of foreign currencies to the ruble, which was set by the Bank of Russia on the date of his instruction.
At the same time, the ban on transfers abroad by legal entities from the states that support the anti-Russian sanctions remains in force. Such measures will remain in effect until September 30 of this year.
