Transfers from Russia to Kazakhstan began to be delayed

Transfers from Russia to Kazakhstan have begun to be delayed. It can reach up to three weeks. According to Izvestia, the reason is that financial organizations of the republic are afraid of the introduction of secondary sanctions.

According to Alexei Razumovsky, commercial director of Impaya Rus, the situation with transfers has worsened since the end of February. Vice-president of "Support of Russia" Nikolay Dunayev explained that Kazakhstani banks are trying to protect themselves from possible introduction of secondary restrictions. Halyk Bank has completely stopped cooperating with the Russian Federation.

- Earlier payments passed quickly, now it takes two-three weeks. This is due to the fact that the banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan conduct in-depth inspections of operations to identify possible risks of "sanctions" risks, - explained the chairman of the Association of payment services market participants "National Payment Council" Alexander Linnikov.

According to Alexei Poroshin, director of JSC "First Group", Kazakhstan will not completely stop working with Russia. The same point of view adheres to the independent investment and financial advisor Alexei Tarapovsky.

According to him, Kazakhstan accepts payments from Russia in national currencies, despite the delays. The expert believes that transfers will not stop completely, and the countries will continue to cooperate, but in a somewhat limited mode.

Earlier wrote that the Central Bank of Kazakhstan launched in pilot mode "digital tenge". In mass circulation currency should go in 2025.

It was also reported that the National Bank of Kazakhstan initiated a reduction in the prime rate to 14.75% per annum.
