TASS news agency with reference to the General Administration of Customs of China reports about the growth of trade turnover between the Russian Federation and the PRC in the first half of 2022 by 29%. It is noted that the volume of trade has grown to $97.71 billion.
According to the Chinese authorities, China's exports to Russia since the beginning of the year increased to $36.27 billion, that is, by 5.2%. Russian exports to China increased by 48.8%. Thus, the volume of goods from Russia amounted to $61.45 billion.
However, only in July 2022 between Moscow and Beijing recorded a trade turnover of $ 16.79 billion. According to General Administration of Customs of China, imports to China reached $ 10.02 billion, exports - $ 6.77 billion.
According to Igor Morgulov, deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the trade turnover between the two countries may increase to $200 billion by the end of this year, which is what the Russian and Chinese authorities ultimately expect.
