In Russia, hotel revenues in 2023 increased by almost 15%. This was driven by growth in occupancy and average check. At the same time, revenues of sanatoriums decreased by 4.6%. This was told by the head of the Committee of the Russian Union of Travel Industry on infrastructure projects Alexei Musakin, referring to the data of Rosstat.

Thus, the growth of the average cheque in the country's hotels was 10%, the growth of load - plus or minus 10%. Expenses increased by 17%.

In Yaroslavl, for example, the average cheque for a hotel stay increased by 25%, in Moscow - by 15%. In terms of occupancy in January-August there was an increase of 10.4%, in December - about 9%.

The revenue of sanatoriums fell from 195 billion to 186 billion rubles. Musakin explained this by the fact that guests began to stay less in sanatoria.

The length of stay decreased from 12 days to 10.25 days on average. But the number of guests accommodated in sanatoria has increased. Frequent change of guests increases the cost of room service, he explained.

Earlier wrote that in Russia opened a record number of FE in 2023.

By the way, the number of Russians with five or more loans has increased in the country.
