In January, the company maintains its high phosphoric acid production rate and is 2% ahead of plan.
Phosagro, one of the world's largest producers of phosphate-based fertilisers, last year increased its production of agrochemical products to a record 11.3 million tonnes (+1.9%) and mineral fertilisers to 10.99 million tonnes (+2.1%). This was reported in the company.
Production of phosphate fertilisers increased by 2% (to 8.4 million tonnes), nitrogen fertilisers - by 2.3% (to 2.6 million tonnes). Production of diammonium phosphate and monoammonium phosphate (DAP/MAP) increased by 8.4% to over 4.5 million tonnes. Ammonium nitrate was produced 4.4% more (723,000 tonnes), and urea 1.7 million tonnes (+1.6%).
It is reported that the 2.1% year-on-year increase in production of basic raw materials was driven by higher output of phosphoric and sulphuric acids (4.6% and 2.5%, respectively).
Phosagro CEO Mikhail Rybnikov said that sulphuric acid production increased by 2.5% (more than 8.1 million tonnes). This is due to the efficient operation of the sulphuric acid production unit in Cherepovets. In addition, a new production facility was commissioned in Balakovo at the end of last year.
In January, the company maintains high rates of phosphoric acid production and is 2% ahead of the plan.
