Starbucks Corporation, which ceased operations in Russia in 2022 and sold outlets, has filed applications to register eight trademarks.
The American coffee chain Starbucks, which earlier suspended operations in Russia, has applied for registration of a number of trademarks in the country. This was reported by Ura.ru portal with reference to Rospatent
The company plans to register the brands Starbucks, Starbucks coffee, “Starbucks coffee” and others.
We are talking about marks for the 21st, 30th, 35th and 43rd classes of the International Classification of Goods and Services.
Starbucks left the Russian market amid sanctions in March 2022. At that time, more than 100 outlets were operating in Russia. Management of establishments in Russia was transferred to restaurateur Anton Pinsky and rapper Timati.
The transaction amounted to almost 500 million rubles. The coffee houses changed their name to Stars Coffee. Timati earned 380 million roubles from them last year.
