The Federal Antimonopoly Service has agreed Magnit's request to acquire Azbuka Vkusa. This was reported in the press service of the regulator. The chain of stores had previously agreed to acquire control in “Azbuka Vkusa”.
For the asset, which in recent years wanted to acquire “Yandex” and “Severgroup” Alexei Mordashov, may be paid about 35-40 billion rubles.
“The share of the acquirer's group of entities in the food retail market at the end of last year does not exceed 25% on the territory of any of the administrative-territorial formations in which the acquired retail facilities are located,” writes Interfax, citing the agency.
The FAS noted that on this basis, the transaction will not limit competition in the market. According to the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, prior approval is required for the purchase of more than 25% (for JSC) or 1/3 of shares (for LLC) in a business company, if its assets or profit is higher than the established thresholds.
Earlier it was reported that Magnit will buy Azbuka Vkusa in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
