The first production line for making French fries is planned to be launched in the Chistopolye district of Tatarstan immediately after the harvesting campaign is completed. This was announced by Nail Zalakov, General Director of the managing company of JSC HC Chistopolye.
Investments in the project will amount to RUB 2 billion.
- We have planted about 2,000 hectares of potatoes, of which about 1,000 hectares are varieties intended for the production of French fries. We are expecting a new harvest, after which we will start the start-up process. If the first stage is successful, we will start the second stage," Zalakov said.
The production capacity of the enterprise will allow processing up to 36 thousand tons of potatoes annually, producing 3 tons of finished products per day.
The launch of the second line is scheduled for 2028, and the total investment will reach 3 billion rubles. After the second line is put into operation, production volumes will double.
The enterprise will be equipped with a modern technological line manufactured in China. Refrigerating chambers and storage facilities are also provided.
The main markets for the products will be hotel and restaurant enterprises, well-known fast food chains, companies providing catering services, as well as retail chains, although their share in total sales will be insignificant.
