Last year, Kazakhstan increased its oil exports bypassing Russia. According to Reuters, a larger volume of crude, which did not go through Russian territory, was sent for import to China.
As it turned out, the pipeline system of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium was used to send about 80% of the total volume of Kazakhstan's oil supplies. As a result, bypassing Russia, only 1.26 million tons were delivered to China, and another 214 thousand tons through the Georgian port of Batumi.
Moreover, Kazakhstan delivered 141 thousand tons to the oil refinery in Baku and another 109 thousand tons to the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and 80 thousand tons to Uzbekistan. As a result, Kazakhstan exported a total of about 1.8 million tons of oil bypassing Russia.
Earlier it was reported that KazMunayGas (KMG) planned to replace Russian oil with raw materials from Germany.
