The Christmas holiday in Britain is already undergoing disruption. About 100 security officers working for railroad company Eurostar will go on strike for four days before Christmas, demanding wage increases in line with the country's skyrocketing inflation.

Members of the industry union RMT, who work at service provider Mitie, "will go on strike Dec. 16, 18, 22 and 23," after an overwhelming majority voted to strike, the union said in a statement. This strike will "seriously disrupt" Eurostar operations in the run-up to Christmas, the RMT said.
