The summer of 2024 was hot not only for the weather, but also for the dynamics of the online delivery market. According to Life Pay, the turnover of Russian grocery and restaurant food delivery services grew by 34.6% year-on-year.

The noticeable growth suggests that people have started ordering more goods and/or choosing more expensive items. This may be due to a desire to save time, avoid going to stores in the heat, and an increase in purchasing power.

The increase in orders indicates that more people are discovering the convenience of online delivery. This may be due to the increased availability of services and a wider range of products, as well as the increasing use of mobile apps.

Infoline believes the e-grocery segment grew year-over-year by 40 percent in August, with orders up 16 percent and the average check up 20 percent.

In an attempt to retain couriers, companies are forced to offer increasingly higher salaries. The average salary of couriers has reached 110 thousand rubles, and some services offer up to 202 thousand rubles a month for work with a personal car.
