On the morning of August 1, there was a new massive disruption in the work of YouTube, causing users to complain about slowdowns in loading and deterioration of video quality. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised bloggers to switch to RuTube, but many content makers are not yet ready for such a step.
Blogger and host of the YouTube channel "In Search of the Perfect Hotel" Xenia Pereina said that she would lose 100% of her income if she switched to another platform.
Ksenia Pereina noted that the problems with YouTube will affect beginner bloggers the most. Experienced content creators will be able to adapt, but startups will face serious difficulties due to the need to quickly learn new platforms and prepare content. However, she expressed confidence that bloggers will be able to adapt to the new conditions, as it happened after Instagram (owned by Meta, which is recognized in Russia as an extremist organization and banned) was blocked and many moved to Telegram.
Bloggers will now have to choose between RuTube, VKontakte and Odnoklassniki. Pereina admitted that her channel will lose almost 100% of income due to dependence on YouTube, which is the main platform for posting content and earnings, reports 360.ru.
Earlier, the Turkish authorities unexpectedly blocked access to the popular social network. Also when blocking Google may be blocked and Google Android with IOS.
