Rosaviatsia plans to start collecting funds from airlines for the overhaul of airfields from August 2024. This was announced by the head of Rosaviatsia, Dmitry Yadrov.

According to him, the initiative was approved by the Federal Antimonopoly Service. The financing system has already been discussed earlier - by increasing the rate of air navigation service fee by 150 rubles.

Yadrov noted that the increase in fees for air navigation should not lead to a significant increase in the price of air tickets. The initiative implies a 37% tariff increase for domestic flights and a 100% increase for foreign flights.

The first airfield to be financed is Cheboksary.

It should be noted that currently there are 228 airfields in Russia, and their number will increase in six years. At the same time overhaul and reconstruction require more than a hundred airfields.

Earlier it became known that the tests of the imported Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SJ-100) aircraft in the Moscow region were successful. The new equipment was also received at the airports of Nadym, Tarko-Sale and Tolka.
