According to Bloomberg, this is the price that would suit the initiative group in Brussels and representatives of the G7 governments. At present it is difficult to answer whether all the EU and G7 member states agree with the announced "ceiling" of prices for Russian oil.

Some negotiators who agree with such a price have their own additional conditions on its introduction, Bloomberg said. Officially, the price of $60 has not yet been discussed in public, said the experts.

Earlier it was reported that the price of $63 per barrel on November 28 led to opposition from Warsaw, which considered it too high. Some European countries demanded to include the mechanism of price adjustment in the future agreement on the price cap on Russian energy carriers.

Previously, the EC had offered the option of $65-70 per barrel, but Poland, joined by the Baltic States, Greece, Cyprus and Malta, opposed the introduction of a price adjustment mechanism.
