According to RBC with reference to the report of the Turkish Institute of Statistics, purchases of Russian goods in June were fixed at $2.91 billion, and this was the lowest value since October 2021. The corresponding data show a 43% decrease in imports compared to June 2022 and 36% compared to May.

As a result, such statistics brought China to the first place in the supply of goods to Turkey. However, Russia still manages to lead in terms of the share of imports in Turkey for the first six months of the year - 13.4% of total imports, while China has this figure of 12%.

The publication also notes that in June the volume of supplies of oil, oil products, gas and coal decreased by $1.76 billion, or 20% compared to the previous month. In general, as analysts found out, energy resources, in general, account for about 60% of all Turkish imports from the Russian Federation.
