The Russian government intends to attract up to 600 billion rubles of investment in climate projects by 2024. This statement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko at a meeting on socio-economic development.

"It is planned to attract up to 600 billion rubles of investment in climate projects, including the placement of 'green' bonds worth over 400 billion rubles," she explained.

Abramchenko added that by 2024 it is planned to create a system of high-precision monitoring of greenhouse gases. According to her, this will make it possible to accurately assess the absorption capacity of ecosystems in Russia, make it possible to forecast climate change and prevent negative consequences.
