According to Beijing E-Town, the economic development agency of Beijing, the construction of the enterprise will be carried out in two stages. Xiaomi will build the headquarters of the electromobility division and sales offices. According to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, mass production of electric cars is scheduled for 2024.
In March, Xiaomi announced plans to invest $ 10 billion in the production of electric vehicles over 10 years. At the end of August, the company completed the registration of its division for the production of such cars.
