The Ulyanovsk automobile plant temporarily suspended car production for the period of corporate vacation. More than 19 thousand cars were sold in the first half of the year.
Production will be on vacation from July 29 to August 4. The deficit of cars in connection with the vacation is not expected.
The press-service of the enterprise informed about it to the publication “AUTOSTAT”.
According to the results of six months of the current year, 19249 cars were produced at the UAZ plant. Sales of UAZ vehicles in Russia during this time increased by 23.3% and amounted to 16572 units. Most of all cars from the family of commercial vehicles SGR were sold in the amount of 6680 vehicles (+24.2%). UAZ “Patriot” was purchased 4936 times (+20.4%). Light truck “Profi” was bought 2481 units, which is +18.4% more than in the first half of last year. “Pickup” was bought 2187 times, +39.4%. UAZ “Hunter” was bought 288 times, which is 2.7% lower than last year's figure.
Earlier it was noted that a large-scale modernization of production is planned at the plant “AvtoVAZ”. It was also reported about the start of production of Huyndai cars in Uzbekistan.
