The AvtoVAZ plant plans to register new trademarks for potential future models, including Altra, Astera, Azimut, Gravis, Merida, Retiva, Tarusa and XTour.
This is reported by TASS, specifying that the corresponding application has already been filed with Rospatent. The company did not disclose specific details regarding the use of these names for new cars.
The AvtoVAZ press service noted that registration of new trademarks in advance is standard practice for future models.
To date, AvtoVAZ produces such models as Granta, Vesta and Niva. According to data for February 2024, sales of Lada cars amounted to 24.9 thousand units, which is 34% more than in January and 19% higher than in February last year.
Earlier it became known when the company plans to present its new budget car, as well as the Ministry of transport designated responsible for accidents with an unmanned car.
