This is reported by the Kommersant newspaper, citing its own sources.

The first batch of Chery premium cars is scheduled for shipment in August. They will be VX SUVs. The company Avtodom, which owns the plant, will receive 450-500 euros for each assembled car under the agreement with the Chinese manufacturer. The second model of the brand will be assembled in February next year.

The Russian manufacturer has already been issued declarations of conformity for the mass-produced TXL and VX models of the Exeed. In addition, the plant is planned to assemble other Chery models, in particular, Exeed VX and TXL, Jaecoo J8 and Chery Tiggo. Avtodom CEO Andrei Olkhovsky said that the company has a number of agreements with partners and in the future the plant will simultaneously assemble four to six models, not only for Chery.

A trial batch of 130 VX crossovers was assembled at the former German plant back in December last year. But, as sources report, the cars are assembled by "screwdriver assembly" method, and the rights holder does not allow to use even Russian oils, because of which their production turned out to be 50% more expensive than originally expected. Avtodom is currently looking for ways to make the production process cheaper.
