Famous for its distinctive rectangular design and frame construction, the new incarnation of the G-Wagen goes fully electric with four electric motors and a powerful 116 kilowatt-hour battery.

The unveiled 2025 version promises 579 horsepower and the ability to accelerate to 97 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. Although the price of the new product has not yet been revealed, Mercedes-Benz hopes to take the lead in the ultra-luxury electric SUV segment.

The G 580 promises impressive off-road performance, including the ability to climb slopes with a gradient of up to 100% and overcome water obstacles up to 85 centimeters deep. The electric motors are individually controlled to ensure optimum torque distribution to each wheel.

To improve maneuverability on difficult terrain, the electric G-Class is equipped with an independent double wishbone front suspension and a redesigned rear axle. Virtual differential locks provide precise torque control at each wheel.

The design of the model has also undergone changes: the hood has been slightly raised, the rear wheel arches have been widened, while new cladding on the A-pillars and a spoiler on the edge of the roof improve aerodynamics. The grille gets four horizontal louvers, and a black radiator panel with tinted light elements, animated LED strip and chrome trim is available as an option, giving the car a more dynamic look.

Earlier Chinese Yuanhang announced a new large sedan Y7 with unusual headlights, and also Haval said it will bring a clone of Land Cruiser 300 to Russia.
