AvtoVAZ revealed plans to produce a new model Lada Iskra for this year. According to the company’s Product Director Oleg Grunenkov, it is planned to release up to 30,000 cars of this model by the end of 2026. This data was communicated during an open test drive.
The final number of cars produced will depend on the market situation and demand of buyers. However, the production capacity allows to produce up to 150 thousand Lada Iskra a year. This shows great potential.
The production of Lada Iskra will be organized on two sites. In addition to the main line in Tolyatti, the car will be produced at the former Nissan factory in Petersburg. This will allow the company to react quickly to market changes and provide the necessary volumes of output, reports Autonews.
The head of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov noted earlier that the level of containment of Lada Iskra exceeds 90%.
