After the recent presidential orders, the Ekaterinburg City Hall still moved to domestic cars, E1.ru reports.
So, if in October 2013 the mayor's office purchased four Toyota Camry for 4,555,688 rubles or 1,138,922 rubles for each car, everything has changed over the last ten years. In the fall of 2022, the administration purchased as many as 11 Lada Vesta cars for 17,181,633 rubles, coming out to 1,561,909 rubles apiece.
That said, many officials still prefer foreign cars. Mayor Alexei Orlov, for example, drives a Toyota Land Cruiser, and Governor Evgeny Kuivashev drives a Lexus LX570.
By the way, AvtoVAZ itself plans to cut production by 40,000 cars because of the sanctions.
