The Russian auto industry and the car market grew last year, said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.
According to him, the production of cars in Russia exceeded 1.5 million units, which is 10% more than in 2020 (1.4 million units).
Production growth in the passenger car segment was about 8%.
Sales of new cars amounted to 1.8 million units, which is 6% higher than the results of the previous period.
Manturov emphasized that measures to stimulate localization and demand support helped to maintain the positive dynamics.
