In Russia, the number of car thefts decreased by 57% in 2021 compared to 2020.
This is reported by the insurance house VSK.
Hyundai became the most stolen car - 22% of all thefts. Next in the VSK ranking are KIA and Toyota (19.5% each). Criminals stole most often crossover Santa Fe, Solaris and Creta. The last one was so popular in 2020.
Car thieves stole most often in Moscow (39%) and St. Petersburg (22%). Attackers were least interested in Mazda, Peugeot and domestic UAZ, Ural and MAZ.
Analysts noted that this is a good dynamic, but do not forget that you can not be 100% confident in the safety of your car.
