Dodge announced the end of production of the Charger Daytona R/T model in 2026. The main reason is low demand, despite the price reduction from 61 thousand to 34 thousand dollars at some dealers.
The R/T model was inferior to the Scat Pack: 456 hp and 547 Nm versus 630 hp and 849 Nm. It is the more powerful version that is now emphasized - the all-wheel drive electric car with two motors will remain in the lineup as the main electric “charged” Dodge, reports “On the highway”.
Next year, the brand will expand the range: a 4-door variant of the Charger Daytona will be released, as well as a gasoline version with a new 3-liter Hurricane turbo engine. New rims and paint options with racing stripes are expected. The price of the Scat Pack is planned to be reduced by eliminating expensive options.
The company noted that the decision is due to adaptation to the market and the capabilities of the platform STLA Large.
