Car dealers in Russia are forced to break the pre-New Year tradition and cancel sales of cars of the outgoing model year due to the shortage.
The market in the Russian Federation has been falling noticeably for four months in a row, experiencing an acute shortage of cars, which is associated with a lack of electronic components. Thus, in October Russians bought 126.2 thousand units, which is 18% less than the same month last year, according to Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
Marketing Director of Avilon Automobile Group Andrei Kamensky noted that the sales dynamics depends only on the availability of vehicles. Every month dealers receive different volumes of cars - more in one month, less in another, and this is subsequently reflected in the market dynamics.
