The American Terrafugia flying machinery manufacture will work together with Chinese drone manufacturer AOSSCI in the form of Aerofugia Technology (Chengdu) Co., Ltd.
According to Xinhua News Agency, the new company is a subsidiary of Geely Technology Group, said Aerofugia CEO Jing Chao.
According to him, future trends in the aviation industry are pure electrification, vertical take-off and landing, automated driving. Flying cars and UAVs will develop in these directions.
The merger of companies will contribute to technological exchange, increase product reliability and R&D efficiency, reduce costs, Jing added.
According to the CEO, the companies will unite their development teams, preserving the original brands for future UAVs.
