According to the classifieds portal «Auto.ru», prices for used cars in Russia have decreased.
Thus, in March 2024, the first decrease in prices for the current year by 4 percent compared to February, reaching the mark of 1.4 million rubles, writes "Kommersant". As for dealers selling second-hand cars, their prices also fell, but by 2.5 percent, with the average cost amounting to 2.1 million rubles.
Daniil Shkurygin, development director of "Auto.ru Business", noted that this was due, among other things, to an increase in the supply of used cars. Private individuals' supply growth amounted to 6%, while dealers - 3%. And according to the portal "Avito Auto", April 2024 showed the most significant increase in supply: their number increased by 17.2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Market participants attribute the increase in supply to the growth in the number of transactions in the primary car market.
Earlier, AvtoVAZ was concerned about the pricing policy of Chinese concerns, as well as the subscription price for Tesla's autopilot sharply fell by half.
