The Japanese division of BMW presented 3-Series models in 318i and 320d X-Drive versions against the backdrop of the Moscow City business complex, distributing an advertising poster through its official Instagram account (the owner of Meta is recognised in Russia as an extremist organisation and is banned).
This comes as the German company suspended official sales in Russia back in the spring of 2022 and shut down some mobile apps for Russian customers in 2023.
The promotional poster showed the 3-Series sedan and station wagon in a special Shadow Edition modification, which is characterised by the presence of dark accents in the exterior. The rear parts of these cars show the characteristic towers of the Moscow-City complex: "Empire", "Evolution" and "City of Capitals".
Despite the stoppage of official sales, Russian dealers continue to independently order and import BMW cars through third countries under the scheme of "parallel import". In large Moscow dealerships you can buy a new BMW 3-Series sedan in 318i version with a 2.0-litre 156 hp engine for 6.1 million rubles with a dealer warranty for two years.
Earlier, the BMW X5 topped the rating of second-hand all-wheel drive cars in Moscow.
