The author of the Japanese publication Autocar Japan said that the local automobile industry is calculating losses from the loss of the Russian market due to the imposed sanctions.
Economic restrictions have led to the fact that hundreds of thousands of Japanese cars will not reach Russian motorists. Four Japanese car brands - Nissan, Toyota, Mitsubishi and Mazda - are manufactured in Russia.
The auto expert hopes that soon the conflict in Ukraine will end, after which the Japanese car industry will be able to return to the huge Russian car market.
Recall that Lexus, Infinity and Acura stopped supplying their cars to the Russian Federation due to restrictions. Toyota and Nissan do not deliver their models to Russia because of logistical problems.
Japanese Ministry of Trade has banned export of trucks, bulldozers and dump trucks to Russia since June 17.
