Ken Block's Hoonipigasus, powered by a 1,400 horsepower motor, made a spectacular showing on the snowy track of the F.A.T. Festival. Ice Race.
This unique supercar, based on the Porsche 911, was developed by the Hoonigan Racing Division team in collaboration with BBi Autosport engineers. Despite its similarity to the original supercar in body outline, the Hoonipigasus is a completely different car.
Due to technical problems, Ken Block was unable to conquer Pikes Peak Mountain in this car, and the racer tragically died in early 2023. However, the Hoonipigasus continues to participate in various events as a reminder of its creator.
The car is adorned with a livery in the style of the Porsche 917/20, which participated in the Le Mans 24 Hours race in 1971. The mid-engine supercar is equipped with a 4.0-liter 1400 horsepower opposition engine, aggressive aerodynamics and a unique adaptive suspension that automatically adjusts the ground clearance of the car based on GPS data.
On the ice track of the F.A.T. Festival. Hoonipigasus demonstrated its capabilities in a demonstration race in front of spectators and participants of the event. However, it also became obvious that the powerful prototype with advanced aerodynamics, designed for smooth asphalt tracks, feels uncomfortable on snow and ice.
In 2023, 16-year-old Leah Block, daughter of Ken Block, conquered Pikes Peak Mountain on Hoonipigasus in memory of her father. Her participation was off-the-charts and her time on the course was not recorded. The ride on the famous Colorado mountain road was symbolic in nature.
Flying cars will be on the market in 2026.
