Chevrolet has revised the concept of the Montana pickup. The truck became similar to an active recreation vehicle.
The new Montana has a two-row cabin with four doors. The chassis is taken from the Chevrolet Tracker crossover, which is produced in Brazil since 2020.
The size of the vehicle is close to the Renault Oroch and Fiat Toro. The volume of cargo area is 874 liters up to the upper edge of the sides. Standard partitions, additional boxes and shelves are available, they allow to divide the large cargo area into several smaller ones.
So far, there are LTZ and Premier versions. They are equipped with 17-inch wheels, chrome decor, six airbags, and a media system. Among the options are a rearview camera, parktronic, push-button engine start and JBL audio system.
Under the hood is a 1.2-liter turbo engine with 133 horsepower. There is a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive.
It will be produced at GM's plant in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Sales are scheduled to start in February 2023.
