The recall of a large number of vehicles from the German company Mercedes-Benz turned out to be associated with progressive corrosion at the joints of the vehicle body, which led to a malfunction of the vacuum brake booster.
According to information published on the official website of Rosstandart, 38,252 Mercedes-Benz Rus vehicles will be recalled by the German automaker from Russia. Technical defects are cited as the reason.
We are talking about progressive corrosion that appears at the junction of parts of the car body. It is reported that this defect leads to a malfunction in the vacuum brake booster, which in turn negatively affects the braking force.
The department said they would inform owners of cars that fell under the recall about the need to contact the dealership for repairs.
