Exeed, part of the Chinese Chery automaker, plans to introduce electric cars under the Exlantix sub-brand on the Russian market, Gennady Baranov, CEO of Exeed Cars Rus, told TASS.
According to Baranov, Exlantix will be a small direction, an additional sub-brand within the main brand. He implies that under this sub-brand there will be only electric cars. The company plans to introduce them to the Russian market.
Regarding the exact release date of the new electric car on the Russian market Baranov did not specify, but he noted that in July of this year sales of crossover Exeed RX will begin, which will be the fourth car brand presented in Russia.
According to Autonews.ru, a sedan known in China as Sterra ES will be introduced in Russia under the Exlantix sub-brand by the end of 2023. There are plans to bring an electric crossover to Russia in the first half of 2024, which in the Chinese market is known as Sterra ET.
Recall that it was previously announced that a test run of the first domestic electric SUVs based on the UAZ-452 SGR, also known as the Bukhanka, will take place at the Crimean research and production enterprise Elkafa as early as this fall.
