Almost 40% of Russians are against such measures to reduce the cost of transportation.
According to a joint study by car portals Quto.ru and Motor.ru, when asked what options the car owners are willing to give up to reduce the cost of cars, and what they will never renounce, 39% of 3.2 thousand respondents said that they would not buy a car without safety systems under any circumstances.
Almost 28% of respondents may sacrifice a stabilization system. 11% can do without air conditioning and over 7% can do without antilock brakes (ABS). Another 4% would agree to drive a car without power steering.
Only 3% of respondents considered the availability of airbags as a useless option.
At the same time, 8% of respondents said they could refuse anything for the sake of cheaper car.
